About Us

My husband and I are lay Catholic missionaries.  The Lord captured my heart while on a one week Spring Break mission trip to Mexico (during my second year at Franciscan University of Steubenville), and He changed my life forever.  Joining Family Missions Company and becoming a missionary at just 19 years of age, I had no idea what I was getting into and felt very unprepared.  But as many of my missionary friends told me, the Lord does not called the qualified, He qualifies the called.  While I had many questions, there was no mistake in the PEACE that I was experiencing as I began the great adventure that would become my life.  I love being a missionary and truly believe it is THE BEST LIFE!!

  • March 2001 – went on first mission trip to General Cepeda, Mexico with Family Missions Company
  • August 2001 – began 3 month formation at Big Woods Mission in Abbeville, Louisiana
  • January – May 2002  – moved to first mission assignment in Coatzacoalcos, Vera Cruz, Mexico
  • September 2002 – April 2003 – arrived at second mission assignment in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia with short term mission trips to Singapore and the Philippines
  • August 2003 -May 2005 – began working in the office of Big Woods Mission/helping lead mission trips to General Cepeda, Mexico and went on short term trips to Belize and Ecuador
  • October 2005 – July 2006 – arrived at third mission assignment in Maramag, Philippines with a short term mission to Malaysia and Singapore
  • July 2006 – December 2007 – took a break from foreign missions to be closer to family and began working as a Youth Minister in St. Louis
  • July 2007 – went to India for 3 weeks with 4 other FMC missionaries to Evangelize on the streets and volunteer with the Missionaries of Charity in Calcutta – realized that my heart was still in foreign missions and began discerning where the Lord was calling me.
  • January 2007 – March 2010 – in Cordoba, Spain working with the youth and every other ministry you can imagine!
  • March 2010 – December 2010 – Abbeville, Louisiana working to pay off student loans in order to be free to return to foreign missions.
  • April 2010 – Met Erik when I went to Life Teen Covecrest for a women’s retreat. Erik invited me to pray about going to Ghana on a mission trip that he was leading.
  • July 2010 – Went to Ghana on a 3 week mission, got to know and fell in love with Erik.
  • August 2010 – Erik and I began our relationship “pursuing marriage”

  • April 2011 – Erik and I were married
  • February 2012 – Our daughter Theresa Marie was born
  • May 2012 – August 2013 – We finished working in the kitchen so we could focus on being full time missionaries. We lived and served at Covecrest, a Life Teen Summer Camp and Retreat Center. We helped with the formation of missionaries, lead foreign mission trips to Mexico and Ghana, and entered into ministry in the local community.
  • July 2013 – Our 2nd daughter, Magdalena Grace, was born
  • September 2013 – Moved to Louisiana to being Intake 2013 with Family Missions Company.  We are currently in formation with 33 other people, FMC’s largest Intake of missionaries ever!  We are blessed to be here and feel challenged and renewed in our missionary calls. Our family will be sent out somewhere in the world in January

“The urgency of missionary activity derives from the radical newness of life brought by Christ and lived by His followers.  This new life is a gift from God, and people are asked to accept and develop it if they wish to realize the fullness of their vocation in conformity to Christ.”  Redemptoris Missio 7
